Studio Policy
Studio Rules and Policies:

1. Attendance and Punctuality - Please make every effort to attend class on time every week. if you are unable to attend class, please write a note or call to give notice. Times of classes are clearly stated, so please avoid arriving at the studio too late or too early. Also we ask that students please refrain from interrupting the teacher during class to ask about the time. We begin each class on time, starting out with stretches, exercises and introductions that are very important for the dances. If you are late to class, please enter quickly and quietly without interrupting
***Please note - Our new policy states that students missing more than four consecutive classes without written notification and payment will automatically be withdrawn and billed for the missed classes.

2. Arrival and Dismissal - When entering and exiting the studio, please remember to be quiet in the halls and lobby. As you are changing classes or waiting for your class to begin, please be respectful while classes are in session. Noise from the lobby and hallway is very disruptive. Never enter a classroom without a teacher present. They will notify you when it is time to start or finish, so wait patiently until you are asked to enter or exit the classroom. Also due to our tight schedule, be aware that teacher will be unable to conference with parents between classes. If you have a question or concern, write the teacher a note or leave a message with the front  desk and a staff member will contact you.

3. Attire - All students must wear dance attire and come to class with the proper footwear. Hair must be pulled tightly away from the face and be sure that your hair accessory will hold the hair securely for the entire class. All ballet students will be required to wear form fitting clothes, so please refrain from wearing baggy pants that hide the feet and legs. In addition younger students should avoid wearing loose or long skirts or tutus etc. We recommend simple solid leotards and tights for all students. Also be sure to label all shoes and belongings with permanent ink and please leave all jewelry and toys at home.

4. Food/Drinks - Plastic containers of water are permitted, but all other drinks and food items are prohibited inside the classrooms and lobby. We request that ALL food and drink be consumed and disposed of outside the building.

5. Restroom - Please use the restroom BEFORE class. Classes proceed at a fast pace and we do not want students missing anything. If you have an emergency, you may exit the room quickly and quietly and then join in when you return without disrupting.

6. Behavior and Etiquette - Students must be courteous to classmates and teachers and make every effort to display a positive attitude. Students being disrespectful to teachers or other students will not be permitted to participate. If you are being disrespectful or disruptive you will receive a warning. If the behavior continues you will be sent out of the classroom and parents notified. Parents also need to show respect and courtesy to all teachers and office staff members at all times. We require siblings to remain seared and quiet in the lobby while classes are in session and under no circumstances is anyone allowed inside the classrooms without supervision by a staff member.
**Also be aware that there is absolutely NO RUNNING permitted in the lobby or hallways.

Our staff believes that attendance in dance class should be a fun and enjoyable experience but is is  necessary for students to work hard, stay on task and pay close attention to the rules. These rules and policies will help us insure that we all work as a team to meet our objectives, improve technique and achieve mastery of skills.
