Jamie  Howard

Jamie has thirty years of dance training and has been a dance instructor for the past twenty four years.  As a child she trained under Angela Franko-Burns at Dancer’s Pointe.  From there she went on to train at many other studios across Georgia including the Georgia Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, and Ruth Mitchell.  Jamie has attended numerous dance conventions where she has received training from professionals such as Rebecca Wright, Mia Michaels, Wade Robinson, Chris Judd, and Liz Imperio. To keep up with current trends in dance, Jamie also travels to New York yearly to take classes at Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center.

Jamie has performed many leading roles such as Cinderella.  Roxie in Chicago,  Christine in Phantom of the Opera, and Alice in Alice in Wonderland.  Jamie has also choreographed for Woodstock High School in their rendition of “Working “under the direction of Ed Palumbo.  Jamie is an energetic teacher who is proficient in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and lyrical.  She is a graduate of Georgia State University and holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Early Childhood Psychology.  Jamie enjoys teaching adults and children of all ages.  Her competitive dancer’s have won numerous awards at both regional and national dance competitions and she also won numerous “Best Choreography” awards. 

Jamie choreographed a scene in the movie “The Change Up” starring Ryan Reynolds & Jason Bateman.  Not only did she train the child actresses Sydney Rouvieve and Faith Aldhoff  for the dance scene, she worked along side legendary stuntman Jack Gill to choreograph stunts in the movie.  Jamie is so proud of her tiny ballerina’s who were also cast in the dance scene.  Jamie is also proud of her dancers who has appeared in an  episode of “Drop Dead Diva”. Many of Jamie's dancers have gone on to pursue a professional careers in dance and in the performing arts. 

Jamie is a guest teacher at many dance studios across the nation. The studios bring her in to set choreography or to teach technique. She enjoys sharing her gift with many different studios across the nation. Jamie sits on the judging panel at Inspired Dance Competition, Fusion National Dance Challenge, and Imagine!

Jamie is extremely dedicated to the art of dance and considers herself blessed to have a career encompassing her passion for dance and love for children. Jamie is the proud mother of two children Kethan and Maya and resides in Canton.
